  3. I have a Canon i70 printer and the replacement ink tanks are BCI-15 black and BCI-15 color. But I accidentally bought a BCI-16 color ink tank (normally for the new i90).

But here's the question: the new i90 sounds like it CAN use the BCI-15 black ink tank (usually just for the older i70 and i80) -- so why can't the i70 and the i90 share color ink tanks, too? They look the same.

  4. Hello Anonymous

I am considering purchasing an i70 (or i80). I just wanted to ask you (not trying to hijack your thread) whether you can change just one of the colors if one of the colors in the color ink cartridge goes empty before the other colors. Let's say the cyan color runs out; would I be able to replace just that?

Wish I could help you with regard to the BCI-16, but I don't know the answer. Maybe someone will chime in.

    Good luck!

    PLEASE NOTE:
If you have a battery attached to the printer,
remove the 2 screws at rear to remove it then follow steps 1 to 6
Refitted battery started up and it worked for me.
